Eat Bulaga not threatened by Happy Yipee Yehey

IS EAT BULAGA bothered by the new noontime show ABS is pitting against them? “Should we be?” says amiable TAPE exec Malou Choa Fagar. “At this point na we’re the country’s longest running noontime show at 30 years, we no longer just offer entertainment like the hits ‘Pinoy Henyo’ and Shembot, but we’ve taken the show to a new higher level with socially relevant projects concerning education. We help poor students with our EB Scholars, we construct dilapidated classrooms, collected a million plastic bottles recycled into school chairs given to Aplaya National High School in Sta. Rosa, Laguna, the Tanza National Comprehensive High School in Cavite, the Libsong Elementary School in Lingayen, Pangasinan, the San Juan Bano Elementary School in Arayat, Pampanga and the Nazarene Ville Elementary School in Antipolo, Rizal. The popular Juan for All, All for Juan segment also generated more chairs for more schools. To date, 261 barangays have, so far, benefited from this Eat Bulaga drive that paved the way for the Pambato ng Barangay segment where raw talents like EJ Salamante, the so-called Sleeping Diva, was discovered. It’s our way to give back all the love and support Pinoy viewers have untiringly showered us every lunchtime of their lives. As the “Puso ng Eat Bulaga” continues to beat and serve televiewers, so shall the program be forever etched in the hearts and minds of avid Pinoy followers.”
