TV5 Introduces 3 New Shows, 'Lolabasyang.Com', 'Parangnormal Activity', 'Kispinoy', To Make Your Saturday Nights Very Exciting

THE HAPPY NETWORK, TV5, is introducing three new shows tomorrow night to beef up its weekend programming. At 7 PM, they have "LolaBasyang.com", a modern reinvention of the well loved children's stories by Severino Reyes which was a hit on radio, TV and has had several movie versions. This time, they have the much respected Boots Anson Roa as the high tech Lola Basyang of the internet generation who tells her stories to her grandchildren abroad via Skype.

The first episode, "Mariang Makiling", is a retelling of the story of the famous diwata of Mt. Makiling, to be portrayed by Jasmine Curtis Smith who said she thoroughly enjoyed playing the role, with Rodjun Cruz and Carlos Agassi as her leading men. The second episode is "The Magic Flute" with Vin Abrenica and Ynna Asistio, followed by "Prinsipeng Mapaghanap" with Martin Escudero. For the episode "Rosa Mistica", they were trying to get the love team of Maxene Magalona and Edgar Allan Guzman, but Edgar has another show to tape so it's only Maxene who made it, with Joross Gamboa as her leading men.

At 8 PM, TV5 offers the horror-comedy "ParangNormal Activity" that young viewers will surely enjoy watching as it combines laughs and screams ala-"Scooby Doo", starring three teen boys who are potential heartthrobs: Ryle Paulo Santiago, Shaun Salvador and Andrei Garcia, plus Ella Cruz as their club member who turns out to be a ghost. The first episode, "Selfie Ghost", is about a spirit, played by Sandy Talag, that shows itself up whenever people are having selfies. The second episode, "Manananggurl", is about a girl who turns into a half-bodied manananggal, with Regine Angeles as special guest.

At 9 PM, don't miss the premiere of "KisPinoy", the biggest search for the first Pinoy K-Pop Sensation, hosted by Richard Gutierrez and Jinri Park. The auditions were held all over the country. The finalist will later be taken to Seoul, Korea to be trained as K-Pop artists. The judges each week will have top Korean K-Pop stars who will be brought over to Manila for the show.
