Gladys Reyes Takes Over Barracuda Role In 'Kambal Sirena' From Lani Mercado

GMA-7 SHOULD commend Gladys Reyes for actively promoting their new show, “Kambal Sirena”, in her Facebook account. Gladys plays the villain Barracuda to Louise de los Reyes’ mermaid character, Perlas, in the new Kapuso telefantasya and she has posted their photos in mermaid costume, along with co-stars Angelika de la Cruz as Arowana and Polo Ravales as Ataba, in social media. We must say that the costumes are indeed very well designed.

Gladys just inherited the main villain role of Barracuda from Rep. Lani Mercado who begged off as she was previously pierced by a sea urchin while shooting on location at the China Sea for “Mga Basang Sisiw”. Gladys didn’t mind being second choice and she is really so busy these days. “Ayoko lang yung prosthetic makeup na nilalagay sa’kin kasi naga-allergy ako kaya pinabawasan ko sa kanila,” she says.

Aside from “Kambal Sirena”, she’s also hosting “Moments” on Channel 25 and she’s in two new movies where she plays very important roles. She plays Eugene Domingo’s foil in the acclaimed movie “Mga Kuwentong Barbero” that is now nominated for best picture in the Madrid International Filmfest and she’s also in the Pampango movie, “Ing Magkakabaung”, as Allen Dizon’s wife who left him and their daughter to work and remarry abroad.
