Chynna Ortaleza So Convincing As A Butch Lesbian In 'The Rich Man's Daughter' She Gets Marriage Proposals From Real T-Birds

CHYNNA ORTALEZA is the only butch lesbian in the lengguaserye, “The Rich Man’s Daughter”. The others like Rhian Ramos, Glaiza de Castro and Katrina Halili are all femme lesbians, meaning, they’re straight acting and dress like regular women. But Chynna as Batchi Luna, dresses like a man and has a man’s haircut, like Aiza Seguerra and Charice Pempengco.

“Iba-iba kasi ang klase ng lesbians at ako yung tomboy talaga ang hitsura na nagdadamit lalaki,” she says. “Transgender talaga. When I was told na ganito yung character ko, I was really challenged and I told myself na dapat, maging in character ako even off camera.”

When she started posting her photos as Batchi Luna on social media, she was surprised that a lot of people suspected that she’s really a t-bird in real life and she’s just using “The Rich Man’s Daughter” to come out of the closet and let everyone know what her true sexual preference is. “Hindi naman totoo yun,” she says. “Gusto ko lang magawa nang tama ang character ko. Pero ang mas nakakaloka, andaming nagsabing may crush sila sa’kin at may nagpo-propose pa ng same sex marriage sa Instagram.”

Everyone knows she was going steady with Railey Valeroso for seven years and she’s now being linked to Kean Cipriano. But has she ever had girl crushes? “Meron din naman, sina Angel Aquino, Glaiza de Castro at Marian Rivera. Kung totoong magiging tomboy ako, liligawan ko si Angel Aquino. Type ko yung pagka-morena niya. May lesbian friends naman talaga ako in real life, pero mas marami akong male friends na gay kaya mas babaeng bakla siguro ako kasi mas malapit ako sa kanila.”

Their director, Dominic Zapata, told Chynna not to put on any make up when they’re taping. “Minsang nagpalagay ako ng make up, very light lang naman, pinabura niya,” says Chynna. “Gusto raw niya, natural look lang. So this is my very first show talaga na wala ako kahit na foundation sa mukha. What you see is really what you get. Nakakatuwa lang kasi okay naman ang feedback, not just sa akin but sa buong show. We’re really off to a good start at sana magtuloy-tuloy para mas tumaas pa ang ratings ng ‘The Rich Man’s Daughter’.”
