Ruffa Gutierrez Is Ready To Wage A War When It Comes To Protecting Her Two Daughters

RUFFA GUTIERREZ is now single again after her marriage to Yilmaz Bektas was officially annulled but she’s not eager to get into another relationship. “I’m really happier now that I’m single. Mas simple ang buhay ko, less stressful, and I can give more time and attention to my daughters and my career,” she says.

Gloria Diaz, her co-star in Regal Entertainment’s special Mother’s Day presentation on May 9, “The Mommy Returns”, advises her: “You should have at least two or three husbands in your lifetime.”

Ruffa just laughs and says she’d really want to be more like her mom, Annabelle Rama, who’s been faithful to her dad Eddie Gutierrez for almost 40 years now. She’s glad to be part of “The Mommy Returns” since she considers herself a mommy first to her two daughters before being anything else. She’s very protective of Lorin and Venice, which is why she made a tweet against Amalia Fuentes for allegedly spreading false stories about her girls. See article, Annabelle Rama Back Off From Fight With Amalia Fuentes Per Request Of Her Family.

Her tweet said: “Who is this old, fat, smelly woman who won’t stop inventing false stories about me & my family? SHUT UP & get a life. Don’t involve me. Dude, ur 80 years old. Make the most of your remaining years on this earth. Your own family is sick to their stomach w/ ur nasty attitude. Ipagdasal na lang natin ang mga walang kwentang mapag-imbento at now I know how my mom feels. Iba pala ang nanay pag nagmahal. Say what you want. No one cares. Just don’t involve my babies Lorin & Venice.”

Ruffa is also happy that the court dismissed the child abuse case filed against her mom by Nadia Montenegro. “Buti na lang there’s still justice in our country. I just hope next time, makinig na si Mommy sa’kin at kay Raymond. Huwag na siyang tanggap ng tanggap ng ima-manage na talents without our approval.”

In “The Mommy Returns”, Ruffa plays the second wife of Gabby Concepcion who becomes stepmom to his kids Jillian Ward, Kiray Celis and Gerald Pesigan from his late first wife, Pokwang. Pokwang returns as a ghost (which is why the title is “The Mommy Returns”, a spoof on Brendan Fraser’s “The Mummy Returns”) to make sure Ruffa won’t get the loyalty of her children. “It’s a very entertaining horror comedy,” says Ruffa. “Director Joel Lamangan has come up with both very hilarious and also very heartwarming scenes.”
