Iza Calzado found a detractor from BF Atticus King

ALTHOUGH MOST of the feedback on her gay role in “I Heart You Pare” is positive, Iza Calzado (who took over from Regine Velasquez) found a detractor from non-showbiz BF Atticus King. “Nakita niya ko in full make up at nagulat siya: ‘My God, what did they to you?’ Parang nandiri siya at naging pormal at parang naiilang habang nag-uusap kami. Nun lang nagtanggal ako ng makeup kami naging friends uli.”

She’s supposed to go to Australia with Atticus in family but she decided not to since she’s busy taping not only “I Heart You Pare” but also her new sitcom with Cesar Montano, “Andres de Saya”, that starts airing in May. “Tapos may shooting na ko for ‘Ang Panday, Ikalawang Yugto’ kaya busy talaga. But this Holy Week, we’ll go to Palawan with some friends for a short vacation kasi wala naman akong taping.”

Is it true she resents Marian Rivera’s inclusion in ‘Panday 2’ as Marian will take topbilling among the female members of the cast? “Naku, di ko alam kung ba’t may lumalabas na ganyan. It’s definitely not true. Pati ba kami, pag-awayin pa? Nagkatrabaho na kami at pareho kaming Kapuso, so we’re comfortable with each other. Hindi lang naman siya ang nadagdag sa cast, pati si Lucy Torres na ex-co-host ko sa ‘Sweet Life’, kasama na rin. Mga diwata kami rito.”

Is she really moving to TV5 when her contract with GMA expires in November? “Naku, sa sobrang ganda ng pag-aalaga sa’kin ng GMA ngayon, lilipat pa ba ko?”
