ENZO IS one of the GMA Artists Center stars who took part in the week-long acting workshop conducting Ron Burrus, master acting coach of the famous Stella Adler Studio of Acting of New York City. “It’s very rewarding,” he says. “We learned a lot from the workshop.”GMAAC head Ida Henares says the workshop is part of their aim to hone the craft of their talents when it comes to acting. “The Stella Adler method acting from respected acting tutor Constantin Stanislavsky is respected by many and some of the respected actors who took it are award winners like Marlon Brando, Robert de Niro, Kevin Costner, Benicio del Toro and Martin Sheen. Our stars who took the workshop include Iza Calzado, Kris Bernal, Bela Padilla, Rocco Nacino, Bianca King, Enzo Pineda, Victor Aliwalas, Sarah Lahbati, Gino dela Pena, Ian Batherson, Sef Cadayona, Rita Iringan, Jayanne Bautista, Justine Ferrer, Diva Montelaba, Marvin Kiefer, Luane Dy, Gretchen Espina, Bodie Cruz, Stef Prescot, Steven Silva, and Stephanie Henares, among others.”
“It’s really a blessing the workshop was brought here kasi I really want to study acting abroad but can’t be away too long,” says Iza Calzado. “I learned so much from it especially about conveying acting without using words and movements, para na rin akong nag-abroad.”
“It really helps lalo na for a beginner like me as it motivates you to get into the character you’re playing convincingly,” adds Stephanie Henares.
