PAULEEN LUNA DEFENDS DAUGHTER TALI FROM NASTY BASHER, HAVING FUN HOSTING 'CHIKA, BESH' ON TV5

PAULEEN LUNA is surely “palaban” when it comes to her two-year old daughter Talitha. When a netizen bashed Tali for her looks, she threatened to take the basher to court and got the apology she wanted.

“Kung nanay ka, mahirap pag ang anak mo ang involved,” she explains. “It’s okay naman to say your opinion, but it’s another thing to bash an innocent child.

"Wala namang ginagawang masama sa’yo ang isang batang walang malay, it’s unfair to bully a minor.”

What can she say to those who tell her not to expose her child at all if she doesn’t want to elicit comments?

“For me, sharing Tali with the people gives me and gives them so much joy. Mas nangingibabaw naman yung mga natutuwa than the bad comments.

"I share my daughter kasi I’m proud of her. Kapag sumasayaw-sayaw siya sa ‘Eat Bulaga’, maraming natutuwa. She’s my daughter, so she’ll always be perfect for me, she’ll always be beautiful for me.”

Pokwang, her co-host in TV5’s new morning show, “Chika, Besh” (shown weekdays at 10 AM with replays on Cignal TV) supports her.

“Hindi naman tamang i-bully ang isang inosenteng bata,” she says. “Isa rin akong ina at lahat tayo, dumaan sa pagiging bata at prinotektahan tayo ng mga nanay natin.

"So, ilagay nyo lang ang sarili nyo sa lugar ng isang ina at alamin nyo ang pakiramdam ng isang magulang na binu-bully ang anak. Yung mga namba-bash, dapat naman sanang respetuhin ang mga bata kasi anghel ang mga yan.”

She looks like she has slimmed down since she gave birth but Pauleen says she still has to lose some weight.

“I”m still heavy kasi aside from my polycystic ovary syndrome, I was also diagnosed with hypothyroidism and insulin resitance that can cause yung pagtaba.

"So dahil hindi naman tayo makapunta gym to work out dahil sa pandemic, I just bought my own pilates machine to do my own workout. Let’s all stay healthy, everyone. Find time for yourself because self care is important.”

She's glad to be part of a morning show that imparts positivity to viewers.

"Kasi magbasa ka ngayon ng balita at mga post sa social media, kadalasan, bad news at nega so made-depress ka.

"Kaya nga we aim to bring good stories and good vibes to our viewers to help uplift and encourage them sa mga panahong ito na maraming nasa bahay lang maghapon dahil sa pandemic."

How did hubby Vic Sotto react to her having her own show?

"He's very supportive. Nasanay siyang magkadikit kami lagi 24 hours a day, 7 days a week dahil sa pandemic, but now he has to adjust kasi I have to tape for 'Chika, BESH' ng two times a week."
