VETERAN BRODCASTER DANNY BUENAFE & NEWBIE RICA LAZO HOST 'GOOD JOB' TO HELP YOU LOOK FOR JOBS ON DZMM 630

GOOD JOB hosts rica lazo and danny buenafe

DZMM RADYO PATROL Pasada 630 is celebrating its anniversary with a new show, “Good Job”, hosted by the new tandem of Danny Buenafe and Rica Lazo, aired Saturdays at 2 PM.

It offers public service by helping our jobless kababayans to find work that are suited to their skills and abilities abroad or even right in their own home cities or provinces.

Danny is a news veteran who served as bureau chief of ABS-CBN News in Europe and the Middle East for several decades. He is now also a British citizen after he’s being based in London for so long. How about his wife and two sons?

“There was no need kasi madalas naman akong umuuwi rito,” he says. “Kung kinuha ko sila sa London, iiwan ko rin sila kasi paikot-ikot ako lagi sa iba’t ibang lugar, pati sa Middle East.”

He had to retire when he clebrated his 60th birthday but Ging Reyes, head of news and current affairs, got him as a talent to host “Good Job”.

“Okay naman kasi marami akong stringers abroad na makakatulong sa mga kababayan nating naghahanap ng trabaho sa ibang bansa,” he says. “Dito ko napatunayan ang power ng radio kasi bago pa lang kami, andami agad nagte-text sa amin responding to our show.”

Rica Lazo was a radio DJ for 11 years before ABS News Channel got her to be an anchor. “I was so happy to be paired with Sir Danny kasi siya yung veteran, ako yung baguhan, and I know will learn a lot from him,” she says.

“I also enjoy being part of a show that helps OFW’s kasi I have a sister who’s working as nurse in Singapore. So if you are looking for better jobs and opportunities or tips to keep you motivated at work, just listen to us and we might be able to help you.”
