Regine Velasquez Talks About Her Feelings On Her Show, 'The Clash', Being Up Against Her Husband Ogie Alcasid's Rival Show

REGINE VELASQUEZ is hosting GMA-7’s new reality talent search, “The Clash”, on weekends while her husband, Ogie Alcasid, is one of the judges in the rival show, “Your Face Sounds Familiar: Kids”. How does this affect them?

“Wala namang problema sa amin,” she says. “Anong magagawa namin? Nagtatrabaho lang kami at decision yun ng networks. Nagkataong pareho ang timeslots namin. Alangan namang pag-awayan namin as husband and wife. At saka, di naman first time nangyari ang ganito sa amin. Sanay na kami. Basta hindi namin pinepersonal. Trabaho lang.”

She’s just happy that the pilot episode of “The Clash” trended on social media well, being number one on Twitter, and also rated high. “Siempre, noong una, kinakabahan kami as to how the audience will accept it. Pero ngayon, makaka-relax na kami kasi naging maganda naman ang pagtanggap ng publiko.”

The pilot episode of “The Clash” quickly produced four winners. The winner in the first round was Charline Fiel. In the second round, it’s Golden Canedo. In the third round, it’s Noel Eneria. And in the fourth round, Jong Madaliday.

They ousted their rival clashers: Nina Espinosa, Fatima Espiritu, Dom Alviola and Nolo Lopez.

“Abangan nyo dahil mas magiging exciting ang bagong rounds ng clashers this weekend,” adds Regine.
