GMA-7 Promising Hunk Aaron Yanga, Eugene Domingo's Love Interest In 'Dear Uge', Wants To Change His Family Name For Better Audience Recall

AARON YANGA is one of the most promising hunks of GMA Artist Center. He now plays Eugene Domingo’s love interest, a former cop, in “Dear Uge”. It was the late Director Gil Portes who discovered him four years ago and cast him in the movie “Bayang Magiliw” where he was paired with Ellen Adarna.

“Wala akong ka-expi-experience noon sa acting, basta kinuha ako at isinalang ako with Ellen,” he says. “Hiyang-hiya pa ako and conscious sa harap ng camera. So after that movie, nagtapos muna ko ng pag-aaral. I finished information technology then went to GMA at nakuha kong talent nila. I played a small role in ‘Alyas Robin Hood’ and now, kasali ako sa ‘Impostora’ as the friend of Rafael Rosell. At heto nga, may regular exposure ako in ‘Dear Uge’.”

He’s advised by concerned writers to change his family name as Yanga doesn’t have much of an audience recall. “I tried changing it to Garcia, which is my middle name. Pero ayaw ng GMA Artist Center, e. Ang gusto nilang palitan, yung Aaron. So, as of now, I don’t know yet kung ano ang papalitan ko, ang first name ko ba or ang last name ko.”
