“I’m really happy with my Cosmo Skin family and I’ve just renewed my contract with them for another year,” she says. “I really use their products especially Cosmo Skin Glutathione and Premium Collagen that makes my skin glow and radiant. Recently, I hosted a Beauty Soiree for them in a fancy hotel successfully attended by so many glamorous people and I felt so confident to face them all, thanks to Cosmo Skin products.”
Ruffa’s stint in “Deal or No Deal” was really an exciting one but we’re not allowed to say what happened with Ruffa when she started choosing the briefcases that can make her win P1 million. “Abangan nyo na lang when this is shown soon,” she says.
Suffice it to say that Luis Manzano is as always very competent and winning as the game show’s host. When he saw us and the other press people invited to the event, he is really so charming and gracious that he quickly approached us to greet us and tell us that he has a pasabog event that will happen in the next two weeks so we should watch out for it.Among the celebrities who held the briefcases that night were comebacking action star Jeric Raval, Eppie Quizon (who plays Apolinario Mabini in the movie “Heneral Luna”), Dennis Padilla, Long Mejia, Frenchie Dy, Bonnel Balingit, Tanya Gomez, Daiana Menezes, Yam Concepcion, Ian Batherson, Gary Lim, Boom Labrusca, beauty queen Bea Santiago and many more.
Ruffa got so excited when Luis announced during the game show that their special guest that night is her boyfriend no less. We all thought Jordan Mouyal will turn up, but in his stead, a potbellied fan of Ruffa went on stage to profess love to her, much to the amusement of everyone inside the studio.
Off cam, we asked Ruffa how she feels every time her mom would say she is “boba” when it comes to love. “I don’t get hurt anymore kasi I’m used to it na. Dedma na lang, ignore na lang. My mom kasi continues to treat me like I’m a teenager. She cannot believe I can now make decisions on my own. But although I myself don’t get hurt, I get hurt for Jordan kasi hindi naman siya sanay sa ganun. Nasasaktan ako for him.”
What does she like in Jordan? “Basta happy ako with him. Kasi matapang siyang humarap doon sa mga tao who push him away. Willing siyang ipaglaban ako. I’m just praying that my mom will realize na mali siya sa mga iniisip niya about him.”
Ruffa is also happy that her new sitcom with TV5, “Misterless Misis”, shown Sundays at 9 PM, is getting great feedback from viewers and advertisers alike. “I really love taping the show with Lorna Tolentino, Mitch Valdez, Ritz Azul and, of course, Gelli de Belen who is my tent mate,” she says. “Masaya silang kasama and you can see we’re all having a great time when you watch our show. Natapos lang kami kanina ng taping at 5 AM and at one point, nagtititili ako kasi pinasok ng tatlong flying ipis yung tent namin ni Gelli at napaakyat ako sa silya sa takot. Muntik na kong mabalian.”
