How is it working with Sarah on the set? "Masarap siyang katrabaho kasi lagi siyang kumakanta, so para kaming may jukebox sa shooting. Napakabait niyang kasama and is really very simple. She has respect for the craft and she gives her 100 percent, but you can see marami pa siyang puedeng ibigay pagdating sa pag-arte. Ang wish ko lang, tigilan na sana niya ang pagtawag sa'kin ng kuya, kasi hindi naman nagkakalayo ang edad namin. Kaya lang, habit na niya, e."
In intepreting their roles as band singers, Sarah says her peg is Yeng Constantino while Piolo says it's Chris Martin of Cold Play for him. "Wish fulfillment din nga for me ang role ko kasi naging pangarap ko ring maging rock star, e," adds Piolo.
Does he have his own Breakup Playlist when his relationship with someone ends? "Hindi lang sa breakup kundi sa lahat yata ng pinagdaraanan ko sa buhay ko, may playlist ako, e. Ang sarap lang kasing pakinggan yung music na alam mong may kaugnayan sa anumang pinagdaraanan mo, kaya may dala talaga akong music kahit saan ako magpunta. I listen at mas nakakaragdag pa ng sakit yung music para more torture pa."
So he's always the one who ends up getting hurt during a breakup? "Basta, maganda yung pelikula, panoorin nyo," he says laughing.
He's aware that after being last year's Box Office King because of the huge success of "Starting Over Again", the expectations for "The Breakup Playlist" is also high since Sarah herself has been a Box Office Queen in the movies she did with John Lloyd Cruz.
"But we don't want to pressure ourselves. Basta we did our best sa lahat ng pinagawa sa amin ni Direk Dan Villegas, who I enjoyed working with kasi he's very open to suggestions. And based on what I've seen sa trabaho namin so far, we can say we're very proud of this movie at maraming makaka-relate dito at masisiyahang manood nito."
After this movie with Sarah, don't be surprised if Piolo would be paired anew with Judy Ann Santos, maybe after Juday has given birth to her new baby. They met in ASAP recently and Piolo later posted their photo together in his social media account: "So great to see the person that gave me my biggest break in showbiz. I'll always be indebted to your kindness. Congrats on another blessing. Sana maka-work kita uli."
His posts merited a lot of likes and positive comments to prove that the numerous fans of their love team miss their tandem and are really hoping they'll still get to make a movie together. When Juday was asked about this, she said: "In life naman, anything is possible, di ba?"
