Janine Gutierrez Fulfills Dreams Of Making A Movie And Acting With Mom Lotlot & Grandma Nora Aunor

JANINE GUTIERREZ has two dreams that are coming true. First, after doing teleseryes, she dreamed of making a movie and this is now a reality as she is in the cast of the Metro Manila Filmfest entry, "Death and the Senses", a suspense-thriller produced by Quantum Films and with her co-starring with Rayver Cruz and her own mom, Lotlot de Leon, directed by Randolph Langjas.

"Matagal ko na talagang pinapangarap makagawa ng movie and I'm so happy na magkakaroon na ito ng katuparan at entry pa sa Metro Manila Filmfest kaya how lucky can I get, di ba?" she says. "Excited na nga ako kung kailan kami magsisimula ng shooting. I promise to give my best para hindi ako mapahiya sa mga kasama ko."

And not only that. She also dreamed of acting not only with her own mom but also with her grandma, Nora Aunor, and this too is now becoming true in the episode of "Karelasyon" this Saturday afternoon on GMA-7. In the story, Lotlot plays her mom and Nora is her grandma. Her mom was a comfort woman during the Japanese times so she hates Japanese guys. But it so happened that Janine becomes engaged to a Japanese boyfriend and here lies the conflict of the story.

"I was so nervous doing scenes with both my mom and my grandma who are both award-winning actresses, but they're both so supportive kaya I'm so happy that hindi ako masyadong na-pressure and everything went well," says Janine. "Next time, makasama ko rin sana sa isang episode my dad, Ramon Christopher and his mom, my Mamita Pilita Corrales. Parang one big happy family talaga."
And she should also get to work with his other relatives like Lolo Eddie Gutierrez, Lolo Christopher de Leon, Uncle Ian de Leon and Auntie Matet de Leon.

And what can Ate Guy say about acting with Lotlor and Janine? "Sobrang natutuwa ako dahil matagal nang dapat nangyari ito," she says. "Matagal na kasi kaming hindi nagkikita-kita so nang i-offer sa'kin ito, tinanggap ko agad. Panoorin nyo dahil magaling silang dalawa rito."

The "Karelasyon" episode with Nora, Lotlot and Janine is directed by Adolf Alix, who has helmed Ate Guy in two indie films, "Padre de Pamilya" with Coco Martin and "Whistleblower" with Cherry Pie Picache, both of which have long been in the can but have yet to get a playdate.

Even so, Ate Guy is all set to start yet another indie movie with Direk Adolf, "Tasaday", where she will play a Tasaday native. Another ambitious project of Adolf for Ate Guy is about prostitutes in Amsterdram who are displayed in show windows like regular commodities, something that Ate Vi has done before in "Miss X".
