“I did a lot of cardio exercises,” she says. “Okay naman daw ang dating so I’m just maintaining it.”
She looks like she’s ready to pose for FHM. “Ay naku, hindi po,” she says. “Hindi ko feel, hindi ko kaya.”
She’s so happy with the wonderful opportunities coming her way these days. She just recorded an extended play album in New York for Sydney Brown, the producer of Beyonce and Usher who’s also known as Omen. Her fans can start to download it in July. She’s flying to the U.S. this week to do a concert in San Francisco, then she’ll shoot music videos for her album, including the carrier single, “Tidal Wave”. She’ll be gone for 10 days.
“I’ll have to come back right away as I’m taping for a new soap, ‘Buena Familia’, directed by Gil Tejada,” she adds. “I play one of the kids of Angelu de Leon and Bobby Andrews. Kapatid ko sina Kylie Padilla and Julian Trono. My leading man si Jake Vargas.”
What if Bea Binene gets mad with her or the fans of Jabea (the love team of Jake and Bea) would bash her because of this? “Naku, labas naman po ako sa love team nila. Wala naman akong balak agawin si Jake. E, pinagpareha kami ng management, alangan namang tumanggi ako.”
It’s said her fans also continue to bash Janine Gutierrez who’s now with her ex-partner, Elmo Magalona? “Hindi ko naman mapanghahawakan ang pamba-bash nila. Kahit bawalan, hindi naman sila maniniwala.”
So who’d she like to do a love triangle story: with Elmo-Janine or Jake-Bea? “Ako naman, kahit kanino, okay lang ako. Basta trabaho lang naman ang lahat.”
Since she’s now 20 and no longer a teenager, what is her birthday wish? “Actually, no more material things akong hinahangad kasi I feel so blessed na. If ever, more good projects na lang o kaya I want to put up a business na makakatulong sa iba, like a recording studio na puedeng gamitin ng ibang artists or bands on very reasonable rates.”
