Paulo Avelino On Rumors That He And KC Concepcion Have Broken Up

PAULO AVELINO doesn’t mind being the third choice after John Lloyd Cruz and Xian Lim in “Bridges of Love”. “It’s not a problem for me kasi enjoy ako ngayon taping the show with Jericho Rosales and Maja Salvador,” he says. “I feel so lucky and blessed nga na sa akin napunta ang role ko rito. Maganda ang role ko as Jericho’s long lost brother na lumaking mayaman dahil si Edu Manzano, a rich businessman, ang nakagisnan kong ama. I grew up thinking money is the most important thing in the world at lahat, mabibili ng salapi, pati si Maja with whom I fall in love.”

Paulo is asked if it’s true that he and KC Concepcion have really broken up. “Hindi naman siguro nagbi-break ang magkaibigan lang. Parang wala pa naman kaming inaaming kami na nga, tapos magbi-break kaagad?”

But do they still have communication? “Yes, nag-uusap naman kami, but just like before, magkaibigan lang talaga kami. Sa ngayon, we focus muna sa sarili namin, and we’re trying to be better people and si­guro, parang hindi pa lang talaga panahon ng pag-ibig.”

But her ex and mom of his son, LJ Reyes, is said to be playing beautiful music now with JC De Vera. How does he feel about it? “Alam n’yo, for me, it’s all about happiness. Kung saan masaya si LJ or siguro, kahit si JC, kahit sino pa ang piliin nila, basta ang importante maging masaya sila at sana, maging masaya rin tayo for them.”

Aside from “Bridges of Love”, Paulo is now busy with the horror movie, “Mara”, which he did for Regal Entertainment with Isabelle Daza and Jasmine Curtis Smith.
