“It’s the first time I get to do these things kasi kailangan talaga sa eksena,” she says. “Also, 23 na ako so it’s time to leave teeny bopper roles and grow as an actress. I trusted our director, Laurice Guillen, who’s very much a respected filmmaker kasi alam kong hindi naman niya ako pababayaan and everything will be done in good taste.”
She needs not worry as everyone says she has the K (karapatan) to show off some skin as she has flawless complexion and is sexy enough to be on the cover of men’s magazines like Angel Locsin and Cristine Reyes. For sure, she’ll have more male fans gawking at her if she’d do this. In “Once a Princess”, which is based on the Precious Heart Romance novel by Angel Bautista, she plays the role of Erin, the most popular girl in school who toys with the feelings of a nerdy student, Leonard, played by Enchong.
They part ways due to a tragic incident but meet again many years later when Erich is already married to JC De Vera and Enchong is a scientist. This is her reunion with Enchong with whom she did the movie “I Do” in 2010 and the TV soap “Maria La del Barrio” in 2012. Off cam, it’s common knowledge that Erich has a wealthy non-showbiz boyfriend, the scion of a rich family who owns a chain of malls. They’ve been on for three years now and there was a rumor that they’re officially engaged, which Erich denies. “He did give me a ring, but it’s only a promise ring, not yet an engagement ring,” she says. “He’s just my boyfriend po, not yet my fiancé.”
