MMDA Announces Annual Metro Filmfest Parade Of Stars Will Be On December 22, Awards Night On December 27

THE METRO-MANILA Development Authority (MMDA) officially announced the 8 official entries and schedule of activities for this year’s 39th Metro Filmfest. Stars came to the affair to represent their own entries. The annual parade of stars will be held on December 22, a Sunday, to start at Mall of Asia at 2 PM and end at the Quirino Grandstand via Macapagal and Roxas Blvds. The filmfest opens onf December 25 and the awards night will be held at the Meralco Theatre on December 27, Friday.

The eight entries are: “10,000 Hours”, a political-action drama starring Robin Padilla as a senator who has to run for his life, with Mylene Dizon, Alden Richards, Michael de Mesa, Wynwyn Marquez, Markki Stroem and Bela Padilla, directed by Joyce Bernal.

“Pedro Calungsod, Batang Martir” – Filmbio on the second Filipino saint with Rocco Nacino in the title role, co-starring Christian Vasquez, Mercedes Cabral and Geoff Taylor, directed by Francis Villacorta.

“Girl Boy Bakla Tomboy” – A comedy with Vice Ganda playing four different characters of various genders, co-starring Maricel Soriano, Joey Marquez, Ruffa Gutierrez, JC De Vera, Ejay Falcon, directed by Wenn Deramas.

“Kimmy Dora, Ang Kiyemeng Prequel” – Third instalment on the Kimmy Dora franchise starring Eugene Domingo in dual roles, with Sam Milby, Joel Torre, Angel Aquino, directed by Chris Martinez.

“Pagpag, Siyam na Buhay” – A horror flick about local superstitious belief during wakes starring Daniel Padilla, Kathryn Bernardo, Shaina Magdayao, Paulo Avelino, Matet de Leon, Janus del Prado, directed by Frasco Mortiz.

“My Little Bossings” – Comedy with Vic Sotto and his two wards, Ryzza Mae Dizon and Bimby Yap, with Kris Aquino and Aiza Seguerra, directed by Marlon Rivera.

“Boy Golden, Shoot to Kill” – Action-drama based on the life of kingpin Arturo “Boy Golden” Porcuna with ER Estregan in the title role, co-starring KC Concepcion and Tonton Gutierrez, directed by Chito Rono.

“Kaleidoscope World” – A dance musical with Sef Cadayona, Yassi Pressman and Mayton Eugenio, directed by Eliza Cornejo and Gorio Vicuna.
