Alden Richards Happy To Play A Young Cop In “10,000 Hours”.

ALDEN RICHARDS joined our table at the Metro Filmfest presscon and he’s happy to play a young cop in “10,000 Hours”. “Five days akong nag-shoot and it’s mostly action scenes,” he says. “First time ko to do action with gunfights and chase sequences kaya I have to train for it, pati sa stunts kasi wala akong double. I have to learn how to shoot a gun so nag-target shooting practice muna ko kasi first ko to handle a live gun. Ang lakas talaga ng recoil. Iba pala ang feeling kapag may hawak kang baril. Nakaka-macho, may kakaibang swag. Most of my scenes are with Joem Bascon and Alchris Galura who also play cops.”

He’s all set to tape for his new soap “Carmela”, with Marian Rivera. Some folks are complaining because he was paired with Marian ahead of more senior GMA actors like Aljur Abrenica and Mark Herras. “Hindi ko naman kasalanan. Si Marian daw mismo ang pumili sa akin kaya nga neverending at sobrang grateful ako sa kanya. Nag-workshop na kami under Direk Laurice Guillen. Relationship and touching workshops para maging comfortable kami sa isa’t isa. Kasi ako, hiyang-hiya pa sa kanya, pero ngayon, mas relaxed na ako at nakakausap ko na siya.”

He has to change his personality for the role. “Sabi nila, kailangan ibang Alden, so baka mag-bigote ako at may konting balbas. Hindi nga ako sanay kasi I’ve always been clean cut. Tapos, I’ll be driving a big bike here, medyo bad boy ang dating, kaya nakaka-challenge talaga.”

Alden used to go home everyday to their family’s house in Sta. Rosa, Laguna. But now, he was able to get a condo unit in Eastwood. “Kasama ko roon ang lola ko’t isang kapatid. Kapag mahaba ang off ko, doon ako umuuwi sa dad ko in Sta. Rosa.”
