Rocco Nacino Is Going Out Of Control With Broadcaster Mariz Umali

ROCCO NACINO’s career is really going places. Aside from acting, GMA News now gets him to host the docu-reality program “Out of Control” with Mariz Umali. The show is about people with weird, extreme or bizarre behavior, compulsions and addictions. The pilot episode on November 30 (replacing “Bingit” at 4PM after “Wish Ko Lang”) will feature a woman who keeps on pulling her own hair and another one who is a cat hoarder, keeping 30 cats in her house.

“It’s an honor to host this very informative show that aims to show people they can resort to treatment and therapy to get rid of their strange obsessions and compulsions,” says Rocco, who’s a certified nurse so he’s perfect in giving advice to these patients.

“We have a team of researchers looking for these unique case studies,” says Mariz. “Akala namin noong una, mahihirapan kami pero ang dami-dami palang ganitong mga taong kakaiba ang behavior. One woman collects basura kaya yung bahay niya, punong-puno na ng basura. Natulungan namin siyang linisin ang bahay niya.”

“Another strange case is a young man called Cutter,” says Roco. “Yung buong katawan niya, tadtad na ng peklat dahil hinihiwa niya ang sarili niya. Nag-start ito when his parents separated when he was 13 years old and he got so depressed. Sa galit niya, sa halip na manakit ng ibang tao, sarili na lang daw niya ang sinusugatan niya. He gets drunk, then he breaks the bottle at yung basag na bote ang ginagamit niya to cut himself.”

Meantime, Rocco continues to shine as Jerry in the primetime soap “Akin Pa Rin ang Bukas”, especially now that he has a change of heart and realizes that he really loves Lovi Poe as Lovelia but they all think she’s already did. The truth is Lovi has been saved from the car crash by a new character, Gilda, to be played by Jaclyn Jose who was signed up by GMA-7 to an exclusive contract after she made a splash as Donya Charito in “Mundo Mo’y Akin”. Through Gilda, Lovi learns than Liza Lorena as Donya Beatrice believes she’s dead and has now embraced the villain Charee Pineda as Agatha. Lovi has a heart attack because of this and Jaclyn takes her to a hospital.
