“We’re really happy to contribute something for the typhoon victims,” she says. “I feel we all need to help out in some way dahil grabe naman talaga ang nangyari sa kanila. Lalo na pag marami tayong blessings na natatanggap, kailangan mag-share tayo.”
She really feels so blessed as recently, her team with Teddy Corpuz and Jugs Jugueta even won P200,000 in the Magpasikat contest of “It’s Showtime”. Now, she’s launching a new album, simply called “Karylle”, for PolyEast Records which was successfully launched recently at the Glorietta 5 Arium.
“I’m happy to share once more part of myself and my music to more people. In this album, I try different music genres. The carrier single, ‘Kiss You’, is a catchy pop tune. I then go edgy in the upbeat song ‘Bad Boys’, which has a remix dance version by DJ Mod. I try Broadway in the song from Cinderella, ‘In My Own Little Corner’. Kasali rin dito yung Philpop entry kong most requested ngayon sa radio ‘Sa’Yo Na Lang Ako’. Other cuts na sure akong magugustuhan ng listeners are ‘Kapiling Kita’ and ‘Be Out Tonight’. The music video of ‘Kiss You’ will soon be shown sa MYX.”
How’s her BF Yael Yuzon? “We just collaborated in writing a song and we hope we can record it together sometime soon.”
One project she’d like to do is to record an album with her sister Zia Quizon and their mom Zsa Zsa Padilla. Karylle’s new album is now available in all record bars and in digital format at iTunes and mymusicstore.
