Cristine Reyes Talks About Derek Ramsay Breakup & Nine Hot Love Scenes With Gabby Concepcion

CRISTINE REYES wasn’t feeling well but she still made it to the presscon of “When the Love Has Gone” where she plays the role of Jake Cuenca’s wife, originally played by Laurice Guillen in “Nagalit ang Buwan sa Haba ng Gabi” on which the new Andoy Ranay film is based. Jake is her husband in the story but he turns out to be gay so she is drawn to Gabby Concepcion, even if he’s married to Alice Dixson. In real life, would she ever have an affair with a married man?

“Definitely no!” she says. “Bakit naman ako papatol sa may asawa?Ang daming binata diyan, hello!”

She did a total of nine hot love scenes with Gabby, shot in various locations including inside a car, in a swimming pool, on the beach and in the bedroom. How did it feel making love with someone old enough to be her dad? “E, mukha namang bata pa siya. Yummy pa rin ang dating. And this is just a role, so no problem. Masayang katrabaho si Sir Gabby. Starstruck pa nga ako noong una kasi big star siya, but after a while, okay na, kasi mabait siya.”

Which of the love scenes is the hardest to do? “Yung sa beach, kasi bato-bato e masakit sa likod. Naka-swimsuit lang ako. Yung sa pool, underwater shots, pero okay lang.”

So how’s she and Derek Ramsay after their short-lived love affair? “We’re okay, back to normal kami as friends. We have to be friends again kasi we’re doing a movie, ‘My Trophy Wife’, where I play the title role of John Estrada’s wife na naka-affair ni Derek. Nagkasama rin kami sa three shows we did in Hawaii at maganda ang naging bonding namin as friends. Maayos naman kasi ang breakup namin. Nag-inuman pa nga kami after we decided to split, so ayos lang. Friends na lang kami uli, like before when we did ‘No Other Woman’.” Read also, Derek Ramsay on Cristine Reyes: We're better off as friends.

Did she regret it that their affair only lasted for one month? “Hindi naman. Kasi at least, we tried it. Everyone kasi was telling us then, bakit hindi na lang maging kayo? So ayun, we tried it and what happened? We found out we’re better off as friends. As to the details, personal yun so sa amin na lang yun, puede?”

Is there a chance for reconciliation? “I don’t know. Ayoko namang magsalita ng patapos and say na wala na talaga. We don’t know what will happen so I might eat my words.”

So she didn’t get jealous with Ynna Asistio or Cristalle Henares and he didn’t get jealous with Dennis Trillo, as reported? “Walang third party. Kawawa naman yung mga taong nasasangkot, di naman totoo. Si Ynna, friend ko, at si Dennis, friend ko rin pero walang malisya. Friends ko naman lahat ng ex ko.”

So now, it’s a case of “When the Love is Gone” for her and Dennis, Rayver Cruz and Derek? “Hindi naman. Love ko pa rin sila as friends, pero ang real love ko now is my career. Ang dami kong movies na ginagawa, no? Aside from ‘When the Love is Gone’ and ‘Trophy Wife’, meron pa akong ‘Boy Girl Bakla Tomboy’ with Vice Ganda na hinahabol namin for the filmfest. After that, may “The Gifted” pa ako with Anne Curtis and Sam Milby, so trabaho na lang muna ang aatupagin ko. Dati, feeling ko, masarap lagi ang may boyfriend, pero ngayon, enjoy na akong maging single. Strike while the iron is hot muna. Sayang naman ang good projects I get from Viva.”
