Dingdong Dantes Signs Up Anew With GMA-7 For A Five-Year Contract As Primetime King

AFTER SPECULATIONS that he’s jumping ober da bakod to some other network, Dingdong Dantes proves that he’s still officially a Kapuso. He just renewed his contract with GMA-7 last Saturday at the Manila Polo Club in Forbes Park. His contract this time is for five years and he is now tagged by his long-time mother studio as "the Kapuso Primetime King", obviously eclipsing his erstwhile rival Richard Gutierrez.

“I am and will always be a Kapuso,” he declares. “I’m very happy here so there’s no need for me to transfer elsewhere.”

Dingdong’s first show under his new contract is "Genesis", with Lorna Tolentino, Rhian Ramos and Lauren Young as his co-stars. But he continues to have options to do movies with other companies, as he’s now doing a movie with Bea Alonzo for Star Cinema. Present at the contract signing were GMA President Atty. Felipe Gozon, his talent manager Perry Lansigan, and other Kapuso executives Jimmy Duavit, Lilybeth Rasonable and Redgie Magno.
