Gma-7 Pr's Warned Writers Not To Ask Raymart Santiago Personal Questions At Presscon Of 'Home Sweet Home'

AS EXPECTED, the PR’s in “Home Sweet Home” warned writers in its presscon not to ask

Raymart Santiago any personal questions about his reported marital problems. But is his home really sweet these days? “Kung minsan, sweet; kung minsan, maalat,” he says. He adds later: “Okay naman kami ni Claudine ngayon.”

What about Claudine’s conflict with her sisters Gretchen and Marjorie Barretto over her niece Julia who’s now being built up by ABS-CBN? Some quarters say this is just a gimmick to drum up interest in Claudine’s alleged comeback as a Kapamilya actress. “I know she has an offer from ABS but it’s best na sila na lang ang tanungin nyo.”

When he’s not acting, he’s busy with their resto business, Red Garlic, which will soon have a branch at the Fort. How are their kids, Sabina and Santino? “Gustong mag-showbiz. Tinatanong when they’ll appear on TV. But we told them wag muna. Mag-aral na lang muna sila bago mag-artista.”

In “Home Sweet Home” that starts airing on Monday replacing “Smile Dong Hae” before “24 Oras”, Raymart plays Reden Caharian, husband of Roxanne Guinoo, with Jake Vargas, Jillian Ward and Rain Quite as their kids. Their family’s peaceful life changes because of an old abandoned house in their place that turned out to be inhabited by ghosts: Celia Rodriguez, Arthur Solinap and Patricia Ismael. Directed by Gil Tejada, “Home Sweet Home” is in the tradition of GMA-7’s family-oriented, child-friendly shows like “Bantatay”, “Daldalita” and “Magic Palayok”, all hits.
