Willie Revillame'S New Noontime Show Starts Airing Today

WILLIE REVILLAME’s noontime show, “Wowowillie”, will start today on TV5, in time for his 52nd birthday tomorrow. Won’t this revive the animosity between him and Joey de Leon of “Eat Bulaga” now that they’re direct competitors once again?

“Hindi naman,” says Willie. “I got his number from Manay Lolit Solis at tinawagan ko siya. Okay rin lang sa kanya. Naiintindihan niyang hindi naman personal ang competition namin. Pareho lang kaming gustong makapagpasaya sa tao. May respeto kami sa isa’t isa.”

The show will have about 90 guest stars, 300 dancers and 7 regular co-hosts led by Mariel Rodriguez. The others are Camille Villar, Grace Lee, Ava Jugueta (former Starstruck 4 contestant now a singer managed by Jeffrey Tan of Bellhaus), Lovely Abella, Arci Munoz and the comebacking comedian Ethel Booba.

“This is TV5’s first daily noontime show so we’re giving it full support,” says TV5 exec Perci Intalan. TV5 reportedly spent P100 million in renovating the entire Delta studio where the show will now be staged, just to make sure everything will be state of the art.
