MOTHER LILY MONTEVERDE says “Shake, Rattle & Roll 14” is her most expensive “Shake” movie ever. “Everything that Direk Chito Rono asked for, binigay namin,” she says. “In the ‘Unwanted’ episode starring Lovi Poe and Vhong Navarro, it’s about a devastating explosion in a mall at talagang pinasabog namin ang isang totoong mall dito, yung unused Coastal Mall sa Roxas Blvd. Tapos, for the creatures required in its story na nag-invade sa planet natin, we used very expensive CGI technology to make them look real and scary. Actually, bawat episode ng trilogy na ito, ang budget is already good for one full length movie. Pero okay lang, maganda naman ang results. I think this is the most scary ‘Shake’ movie ever and I’m confident it’ll be the biggest hit in the franchise also. The other two episodes, ‘Pamana’ with Herbert Bautista and Janice de Belen, and ‘Lost Command’ with Dennis Trillo, parehong magastos din.”
After this, will she make another “Shake” movie next year? “I told my daughter Roselle this will be our last na talaga, but she told me, naku, Ma, wala nang maniniwala kasi sinabi mo rin yan last year sa ‘Shake 13’ tapos heto gumawa ka uli ng ‘Shake 14’. It’s the fault of Direk Chito Rono, kasi ‘Shake 14’ nga gusto niyang gawin na siya lahat magdidirek ng three episodes. Pinagbigyan ko lang siya.”
