Celebrity Best Friends Lj Moreno Alapag & Cj Jaravata Won In The Amazing Race Philippines

CELEBRITY best friends LJ Moreno-Alapag and CJ Jaravata won the P2 million grand prize in TV5’s first “Amazing Race Philippines”. This is totally unexpected since they never won in the 13 preliminary pit stop races that took the team couples in various scenic places from Luzon to Visayas to Mindanao. They’re always No. 2 or 3 or 5. In the end, they proved to be a force to reckon with as they never fought with each other, unlike the other team members who lost their temper and flared up.

Our guess is that Gym Buddies Marc and the very bossy Kat would win since they’ve been winning a lot in the prelims, but in the final leg in Davao, they made a wrong decision in a roadblock and only landed at No. 3. Not to worry, though, since they already collected P1.2 in their weekly winnings. Second placers are the Magbayaw team of Fausto and Dayal. After the race, all the team couples who joined it showed up and they had a wonderful reunion.

We don’t know if TV5 would still have a second edition of this show. They obviously spent so much for the production of “Amazing Race Philippines” and we doubt if they’d be able to recover their investment in it, just like in “Extreme Make Over Home Edition”. Both shows are really worth watching but very costly in its budgets.
