How Do Ara Mina And Vina Morales Get Along With Their Younger Sisters Who Are Now More Popular Than Them?

WHAT DO Ara Mina and Vina Morales have in common? They both have younger sisters who are now more active in showbiz than they are, Cristine Reyes and Shaina Magdayao. Both have new TV soaps. Cristine is with Piolo Pascual in “Dahil sa Pag-ibig” while Shaina is with Jake Cuenca in “Kung Ako’y Iiwan Mo”.

And what’s the difference between the two younger sisters? Cristine is only half sister to Ara (they have the same mom but different dads) while Shaina and Vina share the same parents. Not only that, Cristine is said to be currently distant to her Ate Ara and their family, while Shaina remains very close to Vina and their estranged parents.

Ara won’t elaborate on why she has a gap with Cristine. “Alam na niya yun,” is all she’d say. “Siya na lang ang tanungin nyo.”

So who’s the more popular younger sister? “Si Cristine,” says one writer. “Nalulunod na nga raw sa kasikatan niya after mag-hit ang ‘No Other Woman’ at maipareha siya ngayon kay Piolo on primetime, kaya tinatalikuran na ang family niya.”

As for Shaina, she has yet to have a solo primetime show. All her shows before like “Kambal sa Uma”, “Alynna” and now, “Kung Ako’y Iiwan Mo”, are all afternoon soaps. “Sa tingin kaya ng ABS, hindi siya pang-primetime?” asks one avid supporter.
