Jerico Rosales loves working with Anne Curtis

JERICHO ROSALES returns to drama after his New York-nominated soap “Dahil May Isang Ikaw”. This time, he plays the lead role of Jerome in “Green Rose”, a poor boy whose love for rich girl Anne Curtis results to him being framed up for a crime he didn’t commit. “It’s a great role as I undergo amazing transformation,” he says. “I escape from prison and in Korea, I am helped by Smokey Manaloto to become a rich man who then returns to Manila to get back sa mga umapi sa’kin led by Gardo Versoza. Hindi lang ito just drama but also has so many action scenes. Green rose stands for eternal love.”

How is it working with Anne in a soap? “When we were first paired in the movie ‘Baler’, I felt bitin na bitin kasi we didn’t have many scenes together as I’m trapped inside a church and she’s outside. Dito, ganun pa rin. Magkasama kami sa start but they’ll separate us from each other and it’s only towards the end na magkikita kami uli. But I love working with her kasi ang sarap kasama sa set, dedicated sa work and lovable kaya even people on the set love her. We have a beautiful working relationship.”

How is it different from the original Koreanovela? “We remain faithful to the plot,” says Director Manny Palo, who has written many scripts with the late FPJ and studied film for 3 years in India Film Institute. “But mas pinatindi naming ng drama scenes to suit the taste of Pinoy viewers at mas pinalaki rin namin ang action scenes. This is one of the most expensive soap of ABS as we also shot on location in Seoul, Korea.”
