CESAR MONTANO just came back from a vacation in the U.S. when he hosted late lunch for the press at his resto, Bellissimo. “Thanksgiving na rin ito as 2010 turned out to be a very productive year for me,” he says before raffling off some of his paintings to the writers present.
Cesar's move to GMA-7 made him one of the network’s highest paid contract stars. His presence in “
Ilumina” contributed to the show’s high ratings. “After it ended, I left with my wife Sunshine (Cruz) to support my good friend
Manny Pacquiao in his fight against Margarito. While there, I mounted a well received exhibit of my paintings at the Marriott Courtyard in San Diego, California. Luckily, I sold out all my paintings to our kababayans there. I’ll have similar shows later in San Francisco, L.A., Las Vegas and New York as there’s a great demand for my works there.”
For his beloved home province, Bohol, Cesar got a donation of 300 computers for students from Loral Space System represented by FilAm engineer Pablito Yra and company VP Jacob Foraker. Next year, they promise to donate 1,000 more computers for various barangays across the country. “I’m now preparing for my next show, a sitcom, that airs on the first quarter of 2011,” he adds. “I’ll also shoot an indie film with Anne Curtis, ‘Sa Ngalan ng Pag-ibig’, that I myself wrote for my own company, CM Productions, line produced for Viva Films. May project ding pagsasamahan namin ni Robin Padilla sa Viva. Sana matuloy. I’m also going back to recording for a new album. I myself am writing some of the songs. Sa endorsements naman, I just renewed with Globe’s Touch Mobile and I have two new deals that will start airing early next year.”
