Dolphy's "Pidol's Wonderland" is a fantasy-comedy series

ACE COMEDIAN Dolphy's new TV 5 show, "Pidol's Wonderland" is a fantasy-comedy series reminiscent of "Mga Kuwento ni Lola Basyang". He plays a curio shop owner in Manila who lives with his sons Bart (Vandolph) and Panyong (Epi Quizon). He tells stories to people in their neighborhood: barbers Samson (Brod Pete) and Adonis (Long Mejia), bakery owner Brigit (Joy Viado) and assistant Lyla (Ariana Barouk). In the first telecast last Sunday, the story is about Totoy (Jay Aquitania), a shy boy who looks like a monkey so people make fun of him. He'd lose his ugly features only if he'd find a girl willing to kiss him despite his monkey appearance. He got the kiss from Pilar (Meg Imperial.) This is a familiar tale told with much warmth and humor that will surely appeal to kid viewers. Don't miss the succeeding episodes every Sunday at 6:30 PM on TV 5.
