Nina Kodaka assigned as segment host in Startalk

NINA KODAKA might not have made it to the Final 5 in Starstruck V but many writers believe she still has a good chance of making it big in showbiz as she oozes with charm. "I myself get surprised when I'm in public and people would call my name," she says at her contract signing with GMA-7. "Marami sa fans ko, mga bata, kasi sabi sa internet, mukha raw akong laruan dahil di ako masyadong gumagalaw."

She's lucky to be assigned as a segment host in "Startalk" and as interviewer of the audience in "Wipeout", an imported game show hosted by Paolo Contis and Vince de Jesus. "Nakakahiya nga sa Final 5 dahil naunahan ko pa silang magkaroon ng regular shows. Siguro dahil mabait ako at hindi pasaway."

Just like Iwa Moto, she also has a Japanese dad. "Akala ko, mataray si Iwa, pero mabait pala, even giving me advice when we did a dance number. Just like her, wala akong communication sa dad ko. Last time ko siya nakita, five years ago pa. Tinatawagan ko, pero busy raw, meron na kasi siyang bagong family. Before I left Japan, I called him to inform him sasali ko sa Starstruck at sabi lang niya, good luck. Ganun lang."
