TWO NEW Vivamax bombshells co-star together in “Bisyo!”, a movie about how vice can ruin people: Ataska and Angelica Hart.
Ataska says she’s now just using her first name and dropping her family name, Mercado.
She was just launched in “Bugaw” and now, she has a follow up projedt right away.
Angelica won in Pantaxa star search and did the series “High on Sex 2”.
Now, she gets to star in her first movie in “Bisyo!”
Ataska plays Liza, the supportive and loyal girlfriend of Gold Aceron in “Bisyo!” while Angelica plays Joanna, the wild and carefree girlfriend of Aerol Carmelo.
Their boyfriends start as good friends but later become mortal enemies. Do they have any vices in real life?
“Good girl ako, e,” says Ataska. “I don’t smoke, but I drink tequila occasionally. Siguro, ang bisyo ko ngayon is manood ng Vivamax.
"And shopping, as I Iove fashion, clothes, bags, shoes, not expensive naman basta it suits my personal style.
"And social media rin kasi I’m on 24 hours, but it’s part of our job naman in showbiz.”
“Ako, siguro, lalake!” says Angelica. “Joke. But mula nang natuto akong magkaroon ng crush, tapos napasama ako sa group chats, mga lalaki ang nagtuturo sa’kin ng mga bisyo, e.
"Dito, my character Joanna is liberated na babae. Mahilig siya sa shoes and in real life, mahilig din ako sa shoes.”
We ask Ataska what is the reaction to her going sexy in “Bugaw”?
“Ang pinakamahirap na reaction is yung from friends and family, like my aunts who even called my mom and cannot accept my decision. They ask, bakit ka nag- vivamax?
"My mom tells them its my career move, but I feel that I don’t have to explain anything to them, kasi this is my decision as I really want to explore what I can do as an actress.”
She does her first love scene in “Bisyo!” with Gold Aceron.
“Sa ‘Bugaw’ kasi, I was abused. Dito, I do it willingly and I told Gold na it’s my first time so alalayan niya ako.
"And he did. I have no regrets about my decision kasi I was the one who proposed to Boss Vic del Rosario na I want to try Vivamax kasi I want to challenge myself as an actress.
"And right now, I’m happy as I love acting and I’m learning a lot from the people i work with. They really guide me. I like my role here in ‘Bisyo!’ kasi you’d think she’s sweet, pero nasa loob pala ang kulo niya.”
Is she willing to do full frontal scenes in the future?
“Well, it will depend on the role, the script and the director. More than anything else, it must be artistically done.”
How about Angelica, how daring can she go? “After I did ‘Pantaxa’, nawalan na ako ng limitations. Basta maganda ang role, todo na to!”
How is it acting with her co-stars in “Bisyo!”?
“I’m thankful na napasama ako rito kasi puro sila mababait and I had fun working with Ataska, Aerol and Gold. Nadagdagan ang friends ko.
"Sobrang saya silang kasama sa shoot, along with our director, Daniel Palacios, na sobrang chill din lang.
"He allows us to adlib if we’re not comfortable sa dialogue sa script. Working with all of them, no pressure at all.”
