DIRECTOR LOUIE IGNACIO denies the rumor that he will be the new director of “Eat Bulaga”.

“Sa ngayon, happy na ako sa mga ginagawa ko,” he says.

“I’m directing regularly three TV shows for GMA: ‘Tictoclock’ which is daily, and on weekends, ‘Sarap Di Ba?’ and ‘The Clash’.”

Aside from that, he is also busy directing new movies. Currently streaming on Vivamax is “Paupahan” is a sexy drama with Tiffany Grey and Jiad Arroyo.

And he has four other movies in the can. “Papa Mascot” is showing on April 26.

Awaiting playdates are “Pura Serbidora” about aging sex workers starring Elizabeth Oropesa and Dolly de Leon, “Abe Nida” about a wood carver losing his mind starring Allen Dizon and Katrina Halili, and “Litrato” with Ara Mina and Ai Ai de las Alas as an old woman suffering from Alzheimer’s disease.

“Meron pa akong movie na kukunan on location sa Taiwan,” he says. “It’s a big project and I’m excited, so okay na ako roon.

"Masaya ako sa ginagawa kong projects. Mas gusto kong gumawa ng movies.”

He is very proud of “Papa Mascot”, the first movie produced by Wide International, to open in theaters nationwide on April 26.

“Happy ako sa ‘Papa Mascot’ kasi tailor made ang project na ito for Ken Chan as a young father fighting for the custody of his daughter na gustong kunin sa kanya ng mag-asawang Gabby Eigenmann and Liza Dino,” he says.

“I’ve directed Ken in ‘Huling Ulan sa Tag-araw’ so alam ko ang husay niya as an actor.

"Very demanding ang role niya rito sa ‘Papa Mascot’ and I will not be surprised if it would win him an acting award.”

He’s very thankful to their young producers in Wide International, April Martin and Pauline Mae Publico.

“Mababait sila, they trust you as their director. Hindi sila nakikialam, pero may inputs din silang nakakatuwa so I listen to them kasi natututo rin ako sa kanila.

"At kahit hindi pa napapalabas itong ‘Papa Mascot’, may follow up projects na sila.”

He wants to properly space his projects these days.

“Kasi, let’s face it, hindi naman ako bumabata. Also, I want to spend more time with my aging mother who enjoys being in our rest house in Pagsanjan.

"So bakit pa ako papasok sa ibang projects na sasakit ang ulo ko, kung nage-enjoy naman ako in making movies for our new producers, di ba?”
