RYZA CENON is back on the big screen in Viva’s new romance-drama that will be shown in movie theaters this March 15, “Kunwari... Mahal Kita”. How does it feel?

“Siempre, may pressure, just like what I felt when my horror movie, ‘Rooftop’, was also shown in cinemas last year kasi, let’s face it, the industry has not yet fully recovered as people haven’t really returned to the theaters,” she says.

“But hopefully, the people will give us the chance na suportahan kami at panoorin nila ang movie namin sa sinehan, kasi we all did our best para mapaganda itong movie namin.

"It will make you laugh, cry and fall in love all over again.”

What is her role in the movie?

“I play Heidi or Hydes, isang probinsiyana working in a resort hotel.

"Sobrang strong ang personality niya and very independent siya. Galit din siya sa mga lalaki kasi her mother, played by Ms. Yayo Aguila, laging sinasaktan ng mga lalaki.”

Her life became complicated when she met Joseph Marco as Greg.

“One day, on my way to work, dumaan yung car ni Joseph at yung gulong niya, nahulog sa lubak na puno ng putik kaya nasabuyan ako ng putik mula ulo hanggang paa.

"Nang makita ko siya sa resort, siempre, galit na galit ako, sinugod ko siya at sinampal.”

But it turns out Joseph is a good friend of the resort owner, Josh Colet, so she eventually apologizes to him. In return, her boss orders her to tour Joseph around the scenic spots of their province.

In the process, they get closer to one another. Then one day, Nathalie Hart arrives in the resort and it turns out she’s the legal wife of Joseph who earlier wants their marriage to be annulled.

Out of the blue, Joseph introduces Ryza to Nathalie as his current girlfriend, much to Ryza’s surprise.

Joseph begs her to just go play along with the pretense and she complies.

This makes Nathalie jealous and she suddenly becomes interested in Joseph again.

Eventually, how will Ryza and Joseph’s fake relationship end?

Through all the lying and pretending, will any of the characters recognize what true love is?

In the game of make believe, which is easier: pretending to be in love or hiding your true feelings of love?

Feel the confusion and pain of Ryza, Joseph and Nathalie: three people dealing with this kind of situation in “Kunwari… Mahal Kita”, a film by Roderick Lindayag, who have all directed them before on TV and  now, first time on the big screen.

Ryza is glad that her son is now two years old and she has returned to work full time.

She’s also in the ABS-CBN show, “Batang Quiapo” as Olga and she is also a part of a new reality show for her home studio, Viva.
