TWO OF THE young hunks given a good break in Viva and Feast Foundation's sexy barkada comedy, “Call Me Papi”, are Royce Cabrera and Aaron Concepcion.

Royce is 26, a Kapuso actor who has done indie films before like “Fuccbois” and “Lola Igna”.

He’s now part of GMA-7’s hit primetime series, “Start Up PH”, where he plays the best friend of Jeric Gonzales.

He’s glad that during the pandemic, he continued to have regular assignments like “Nagbabagang Luha” where he played an important role, and he kept on guesting in various GMA drama shows.

He has also started shooting a new movie for Direk Joel Lamangan, “Sa Kanto ng Langit at Lupa”. He is elated to be part of “Call Me Papi” that will be shown in theaters on December 14.

“Kasama ko po rito sina Enzo Pineda, Lharby Policarpio, Albie Casino and Aaron Concepcion,” he says.

“Working boys po kami na iba-iba ang trabaho pero magkakasama in sharing an apartment. May kanya-kanya rin kaming story.”

So what’s his role in the movie directed by Alvin Yapan?

“Ako po si Lito, a mysterious guy,” he says. “Madiskarte siya sa buhay.

"To meet his needs, may sekreto siyang trabaho na hindi alam ng mga kabarkada niya at doon siya magkakaroon ng conflict with them. I enjoyed shooting the film with my co-stars.

"Inabot ng three years ang shoot namin kasi paputol-putol, tuwing may lockdown at restrictions hinto ang trabaho namin so I’m glad that finally, natapos na namin siya at ipapalabas na.”

Aaron Concepcion is 23 and hails from Tarlac. He first joined “Showtime” as a Kuya Escort for two weeks and later joined its Bidaman search.

He has also appeared on GMA-7 in “Magpakailanman”. His photos while helping out in the floods in Cainta in November 2020 went viral as he was shirtless and his buff torso were admired by netizens.

“We were shooting ‘Call Me Papi’ then and I was staying in Cainta.

"Then the typhoon called Ulysses came at ang cars parked in the streets, nabagsakan ng mga nabaling puno.

"So I went out to help. The floods reach up to my thighs na and families are being taken for safety at the village’s basketball court.

"So tumulong ako in helping out yung mga binaha. I took off my shirt kasi basang-basa at malagkit na.

"I didn’t know my photos were being taken at yun nga, it was posted sa internet at ang daming nakakita.”

What’s his role in “Call Me Papi”?

“Ako po si Roy, isa akong bartender sa story,” he says. “Marami pong makaka-relate sa movie dahil tungkol ito sa friendship na may pinagdaanang mga pagsubok.

"Lahat kaming limang magkakaibigan, may kanya-kanyang sekreto that will test our relationship as friends.

"Ako po ang pinakabaguhan sa cast at natutuwa akong sina Enzo, Albie, Lharby at Royce ang mga nakasama ko rito kasi naging mabait sila sa akin and naging friends talaga kami while making ‘Call Me Papi’.”
