OLIVER AQUINO & MIGZ ALMENDRAS WILL DO TWO LOVE SCENES IN THE VIVAMAX BOYS LOVE MOVIE OF JAY ALTAREJOS, 'MEMORIES OF A LOVE STORY'

                                             OLIVER AQUINO

                                                         MIGZ ALMENDRAS

                                                                    MIGZ and OLIVER

OLIVER AQUINO started as a child actor at ABS-CBN and became a part of the ASAP boy group called Anime where Rayver and Rodjun Cruz, John Wayne Sace and Sergio Garcia also started.

He has since done several movies with Direk Jay Altarejos like “Kasal”, “Tale of the Lost Boys”, “TPO Miguel”, “Gino to Marie”, “Love and Pain in Between Refrains”, “Walang Kasarian ang Digmang Bayan” and now, they’re together again in Vivamax’ Boys Love or BL movie, “Memories of a Love Story”.

So how does it feel working with Direk Jay again?

“I have learned so much from him, so kapag siya ang tumawag, okay ako agad,” says Oliver. “I really trust him and I know hindi niya ako ipapahamak as I am in good hands.”

In “Memories of a Love Story”, he plays a man who returns home to their province in Bicol to spread the ashes of his late mom in their hometown.

There, he meets a former love, played by Migz Almendras, and their feelings for each other are rekindled.

Their love affair before was prevented by Migz’ grandmother, played by Dexter Doria. The movie is about lost loves and moving on. Can he relate with it?

“Yes, I’ve had a girlfriend before, but our relationship did not prosper,” he says. “Pero noong ikinasal siya in 2019, she even invited me. Doon ko nakitang masaya na siya at dahil doon, naka-move on na rin ako.”

As for Migz, he’s glad to work again with Oliver.

“Nagkasama na kami before in ‘Walang Kasarian ang Digmang Bayan’,: he says.

“Kaso, hindi ako napasama sa final print kasi na-edit out yung scenes ko dahil nawala yung isang character.

"So bitin yung una naming pagtatrabaho, kaya when I learned I will work with Oliver again, okay lang sa akin as I already feel comfortable with him.”

Their characters in “Memories of a Love Story” come from different social classes as he is rich and Oliver is the son of their former housemaid. Has he experienced something life this in real life?

“Yes, may girl na gusto ako before, but she’s the valedictorian in our class.

"May kaya sila, e ni wala akong sasakyan, so ni hindi ko siya maihahatid pauwi sa kanila. I consider her the one who got away from me.”

He’s straight in real life, but playing a gay character in the movie where he and Oliver will do two love scenes.

What if someone gay would profess his love for him?

“I will praise him kasi he’s brave enough to admit his feelings for me, but I will explain to him na we just have to be friends kasi I’m not into gay relationships.”
