ELISSE JOSON ENJOYED DOING 'HABANGBUHAY' VIVAMAX MOVIE WITH PARTNER MCCOY DE LEON & DESCRIBES HIM AS A DAD TO THEIR BABY FELIZE

ELISSE JOSON joined Star Magic when she was only 16 years old and did supporting roles in soaps like “Be Careful with My Heart”, “Ang Probinsyano” and “Sana Bukas Pa ang Kahapon”.

She also played supporting roles in movies like “She’s Dating the Gangster” and “Everyday I Love You”.

She was paired with McCoy de Leon and they won the Most Promising Love Team of the Year in the 2017 Box Office Entertainment Awards. They were launched in the film “Sakaling Maging Tayo” in 2019.

They became on in 2017, broke up in 2018, reconciled in 2019 and had a baby girl named Felize in April, 2021.

Now, they get to star again in their own movie, “Habangbuhay”, directed by Real Florido, to stream on Vivamax Plus on April 20, 2022 and on Vivamax on April 22. When this was offered to them, they had to study it first.

“Mahaba ang process before we got to do this because we have to consider na we have a baby, tapos we’re in the midst of a pandemic,” says Elisse.

“This is our first film together na we already have a child tapos, yung characters we play, mga bata pa, so naisip namin baka hindi na bumagay sa amin.

"But the scriptwriter, John Versoza, said he wrote the script with us in mind, so we’re flattered na pinagkatiwalaan nila kami ng Viva. We decided to go for it, kasi it’s a new challenge for us at bibigyan na lang namin ng kakaibang atake. We’ve seen the film and maganda lumabas, so we’re now very proud of it.”

So how is McCoy as a dad and partner?

“Mccoy is a hands on dad. I can see he is a very responsible family man. I tell our daughter that she’s very lucky to have McCoy as her dad as he is really working very hard for us. As a partner, may commitment siya to be always present in our lives ni Baby Felize.”

In “Habangbuhay”, Elisse plays Bea, who has Common Variable Immune Deficiency (CVID). This means her body has low levels of protective antibodies and she’s easily susceptible to various infections.

Because of this, Bea cannot just go out as some bacteria or virus can easily invade her body.  Her over protective mother Lily (Yayo Aguila) just wants to keep her safe at home.

In spite of this, Bea maintains a cheerful disposition.  She enjoys  being in her own world filled with music, dreams, and imagination.  She does live streaming to interact with other people.

So, all things considered, Bea is doing good.  McCoy de Leon is JR, their houseboy.  Years ago, Bea’s nanny took him home after finding him roaming in the streets crying.

JR grew up taking life too seriously, even calling himself a “sad boy”.  But as he learns to loosen up, Bea greatly enjoys his company.

She’s proud to say that he’s the one who truly makes her feel alive.  They promise that they’ll be together “habangbuhay” but other forces seem to oppose their relationship.
