BEAUTY GONZALES PROUD & HONORED TO BE PAIRED WITH TWO DINGDONG DANTES CHARACTERS IN 'ALTERNATE' THAT AIRS THIS MONDAY NIGHT

BEAUTY GONZALEZ feels grateful to be chosen as Dingdong Dantes’ leading lady in “AlterNate” of GMA-7’s drama anthology, “I Can See You”. This starts airing this Monday night.

“When I just moved to GMA, I was asked kung sino ang gusto kong makapareha and I said si Dingdong, now heto, wish granted kaagad so thank you talaga,” she says.

During the zoom presscon, Dingdong and the show’s director, Dominic Zapata, both praised her acting and for being such a professional on their lock in set. What can she say about this?

“Thanks very much for the wonderful words of Dong and Direk Dominic. I feel so happy kasi I didn’t get just one Dingdong here, but two, since he plays the dual roles of Nate and Michael in the story..

"Thanks to GMA for giving me the chance to do this project with Dong, who is not only very maalaga but isang magaling and a very intuitive actor.”

She’s very proud of “AlterNate”.

“I can’t wait for people to see this show na may drama, may action, may suspense, may romance. Ibang-iba ako rito from my first show sa GMA na ‘Loving Ms. Bridgette.’

"Lahat sila rito, magaling, pati sina Direk Ricky Davao and Jackielou Blanco, so I had to level up in my acting here. It was so easy naman to get into my character kasi pagdating ko sa set, lahat sila, ready na. Very inspiring sila katrabaho.”

She says she was affected by the recent Typhoon Odette.

“I was supposed to go to Siargao but my mom reminded me it’s her birthday, so I went home sa amin sa Dumaguete. It’s good we’re not as badly affected as Siargao.

"And I’m happy I was there when it happened as I was able to help our farmers kasi nasira ang mga tanim at bakod namin. A lot of places in Negros were badly affected.”

It took her awhile before she got a flight back to Manila.

“Yes, natagalan bago ako makabalik sa Manila. And I feel bad nga na hindi ako nakatulong so promo ng filmfest entry kong ‘Huwag Kang Lalabas’ kasi I got stuck there at ni wala kaming signal.

"Hindi ko sila makontak dito sa Manila. It’s a different kind of experience for me. But I’m happy everyone in my family is safe.”

So she has no regrets about moving to GMA even if some bashers continue to say she has no “utang na loob” to ABS-CBN that discovered her in PBB?

“No regrets at all. Tuloy-tuloy ang trabaho ko rito and I’m very happy with the projects GMA is giving me.

"Ang ganda ng feedback sa ‘Loving Ms. Bridgette’ and now, I heard na baka magka- book two daw kami kasi andaming fans ang nagre-request. At kung nagustuhan nila yun, I’m sure mas magugustuhan nila itong ‘AlterNate’ on primetime.”
