ADRIAN ALANDY'S CO-STARS IN 'MY HUSBAND, MY LOVER' THANKFUL TO HIM FOR BEING AN ACTING COACH TO THEM IN THE SHOOT

                                    ADRIAN ALANDY WITH KYLIE VERSOZA

ADRIAN ALANDY is the only member of the main cast of “My Husband, My Lover” who is married and he gets to do torrid love scenes in the movie as the lover of Kylie Versoza who’s married to Marco Gumabao.

It’s good his wife is not the jealous type who’d frown on him doing sexy bedscenes in his movies?

“My wife trusts me and my choices,” he says. “This project is hard to pass on kasi when Ii read the script, it’s really good, with Mac Alejandre directing and the script is by Ricky Lee pa.”

He says the film is not just a mere sexploitation flick.

“More than the love scenes, maganda talaga ang story nito about a very complicated relationship between four people. Direk Mac took a very different kind of approach in treating the material kasi it’s told totally from a woman’s point of view.”

He was also challenged by the acting scenes required in the script.

“Yung confrontation scenes na kaming apat nina Kylie Versoza, Cindy Miranda and Marco Gumabao, very intense talaga. Nag-clash kaming lahat with each other and acting scenes talaga siya.

"Yung conflicts namin ang siyang soul and heart of the movie, to see the essence of each individual character. May confrontation scene kami na we shot it for one whole day. Mahirap talaga.”

How about the sexy love scenes?

“Hindi kami masyadong nahirapan ni Kylie kasi nag-usap muna kami kung ano ang puede at ano ang hindi.

"We talked at length about the execution with the director and the cameraman and everyone is very professional, so nagawa nang maayos and very tasteful.”

What for him is the film’s basic theme?

“I think it’s about forgiveness. ‘Yung basic mistakes ng partner mo, mapapatawad mo when there’s love and respect. But when it comes to cheating with a third party, iba na yun, e. Maraming complex emotions involved.”

All his co-stars say they enjoyed working with him.

“Yes, we’re happy to have Kuya Adrian with us kasi he’s the most senior among us and para siyang acting coach namin who helps in our scenes with him,” says Kylie.

“My Husband, My Lover” starts streaming on Vivamax on November 26.
