KYLIE VERSOZA PLAYS MOST DEMANDING ROLE AS A WOMAN WHO FALLS IN LOVE WITH TWO MEN, MARCO GUMABAO & ADRIAN ALANDY, IN 'MY HUSBAND, MY LOVER'

KYLIE VERSOZA got a lot of praise for her portrayal of “The Housemaid” but she says her new movie, “My Husband, My Lover”, is much more demanding than anything she ever has done before.

“I play Alice, a writer who’s married to Marco Gumabao as Noel,” she says. “Happy naman kami but hindi ako satisfied so I still have a lover, si Adrian Alandy as Dennis.

"When I get pregnant, hindi ko alam kung sino ang ama, so I had to confess my dilemma kay Marco, tapos hindi niya ako matanggap so he splits from me.

"Sumama ako kay Adrian at siya na ang naging husband ko, but it turns out a DNA test shows na si Marco talaga ang ama nung bata. So dyan magsisimulang maging very complicated ang story.”

She has graphic love scenes with both Marco and Adrian so she initially felt reluctant about accepting it.

“I had to think twice kung tatanggapin ko ito because of the requirements of the role. I won’t accept kasi any project that will just sell sex.

"I had a long talk muna with Direk Mac Alejandre and he explained to me na may justification naman yung character that I will play as she wants to break the usual norms of society.

"What convinced me was when Direk Mac said na for him, sex is something very sacred so he won’t just do an exploitative film. I felt I can trust him as a director kasi very clear ang intentions niya about the film.”

Her co-star in the movie, Cindy Miranda who plays Loida, Marco's new girlfriend, butts in and says:  “This is Kylie at her boldest. Sa trailer pa lang masa-shock na kayo.”

And Kylie agrees: “Yes, this is the most skin I’ve ever shown in a film, but very classy naman ang execution.”

How does her boyfriend, Jake Cuenca, feel about her doing love scenes with both Marco and Adrian where she even has a threesome with them?

“I informed him about my role, kasi si Alice, palaban sa bed scenes. I’m just very lucky to have a supportive boyfriend who is a very professional actor and understands my work.

"Naiintindihan niya what I have to do. Maganda naman ang material written by Ricky Lee and magaling ang director. so I just grabbed the chance to do this project.

"He now wishes me the best in my career. I’m blessed to have him by my side. And I’m just so grateful to Viva na nabibigyan nila ako ng ganitong projects.

"Thank you to Boss Vic for believing in me and I appreciate that Viva put their trust in me, giving me one project after another.”

Her character Alice in “My Husband, My Lover” is her toughest role to date.

“This is one of the most physically demanding roles given to me. It’s a big challenge for me. Nakakaba ang mga eksena, but you have to look relaxed kasi makikita yung kaba mo on screen.

"Actually, ang dami kong natutuhan sa character ko rito. Nalaman kong may tao palang kayang magmahal ng dalawang tao equally, without feeling guilty. Alice is very manipulative.

"Marunong siyang maglaro, she’s a player, and hindi ako ganun in real life. But more than the sex scenes we did, I’m confident na mas maipapakita namin ang talent namin in acting sa various dramatic scenes we did.”

Since the movie is about infidelity, in real life, would she forgive an erring husband or lover?

“Yes, I can forgive. as long as he is willing to change. Huwag lang akong lolokohin uli kasi I’m not limitless sa pagpapatawad ko.”
