WHY BIANCA UMALI & MIGUEL TANFELIX OF 'SAHAYA' ARE GOOD ROLE MODELS FOR THE YOUTH

BIANCA UMALI and Miguel Tanfelix are both exceptional role models for the youth. They’re currently both busy with their work as actors, but they still find time to study and get a good education. Bianca just graduated from senior high school at the Veritas Catholic School in Paranaque, while Miguel continues with his college studies, majoring on entrepreneurial management at La Salle Dasmarinas.

“It’s hard na pagsabayin ang work and school, lalo na’t puyat ka sa taping, but I’m thankful na sa awa ni Lord, naitawid ko ito,” says Bianca. “I’m dedicating my diploma to my lola na siyang nagpalaki sa’kin after my parents passed away. Hindi nasayang ang paghihirap niya sa akin at itinaguyod niya talaga ako all by herself.”

She’s also happy that her show, “Sahaya”, continues to get good feedback from satisfied viewers. “Talaga namang pinagpapaguran namin ang bawat episode ng show to make sure magiging maganda ito sa viewers. We tape each episode on a special set built in Calatagan, Batangas with expert consultants to make sure we correctly portray the culture and lifestyle of the Badjaw characters in the story.”

Bianca is really busy now, along with Miguel, as they are also part of the movie that GMA Films is shooting, “Family History”, along with Dawn Zulueta and Michael V. and they also have another movie, a horror flick, for APT Entertainment. Bianca is one of three Kapuso stars who got their diploma this graduation season. Yasmien Kurdi of "Hiram na Anak: also graduated from Arellano University, majoring in political science, while former child actor Renz Valerio of "Inagaw na Bituin" got his degree of business management, magna cum laude, from the Our Lady of Fatima University at Antipolo.

Meantime, regular viewers of “Sahaya” are praising Miguel for his poignant rendition of the familiar song “Baleleng” while accompanying himself on the guitar in a recent episode. Here are some of the comments he got on social media:

“Feel na feel talaga ang pag-awit ni Miguel sa Baleleng kaya di ko napigil ang pagtulo ng luha ko.” “Grabeng touching ang eksena ni Ahmad singing Baleleng. Napaiyak talaga ako.” “With the song, you can really feel the pain of young love with Miguel as Ahmad and Bianca as Sahaya. You will root for them na ipaglaban nila ang pag-iibigan nila.
