Kathryn Bernardo Talks About The Power Of Love And Her Journey With Daniel Padilla As They Play Malia & Tristan In 'La Luna Sangre'

KATHRYN BERNARDO feels mixed emotions about their hit action-fantasy, “La Luna Sangre”, as it ends next Friday, to be replaced by “Bagani” by the LizQuen love team. “Ang dami kong ginawang firsts sa show na ito kaya it’ll be very memorable for me,” says Kathryn. “Remember that when the series started, I was playing two different characters, Miyo and Toni. At yung si Mio, lalake, so first time ko to play a man kaya binago ko hitsura ko pati moves ko. First time ko ring mag-action nang todo-todo and I’d really like to thank Daniel dahil inalalayan niya ko talaga sa fight scenes ko at sa stunts ko. Hindi biro yung role ko as Malia dahil nahirapan talaga ako. At dahil halos isang taon kaming nagte-taping almost everyday, may nabuo kaming pamilya sa set kaya nagse-separation anxiety rin ako now as the show is about to end.”

What are the good qualities of Malia that she imbibed and would like to retain in herself even
after the show is over?

“Una sa lahat, yung power of love. Ang pagmamahal, yan pa rin ang pinakamakapangyarihan sa lahat. Ang dami naming pinagdaanan dito ni Daniel as Tristan and Malia, but at the end of the day, we show na kahit gaano kasama ang isang tao, you can change him through love. Hindi madali ang naging journey namin but the important thing is hawak kamay pa rin kami para malampasan lahat ng mga pagsubok and I can apply that in real life.”

Recently, TV host Robi Domingo was bashed by Kathniel fans for teasing Daniel and Liza Soberano at the ASAP backstage. What can she say this?

“For me, walang problema,” she says. “Hindi issue at all. Tumawag si Robi, nag-sorry pa. Kilala ko siya, I’m sure wala siyang masamang intention. Na-misinterpret lang siya ng ibang tao. So tigilan na nila ang pamba-bash sa kanya kasi okay kaming dalawa.”

So what’s in store for the KathNiel love team now that “La Luna Sangre” is ending. “We have a show abroad, U.S. tour in March, then pagbalik namin sa April, we’ll start shooting a new movie under Direk Cathy Molina. So abangan nyo yun. As of now, we just want to thank all the viewers who supported ‘Luna Sangre’ at huwag kayong bibitaw dahil marami pang pasabog sa last few episodes.”
