“Okay lang, no problem,” he says. “Basta ang maganda, tuloy-tuloy ang trabaho ko. And I’m happy kasi tatlo ang regular shows ko ngayon. Aside from ‘Sherlock Jr.’ and ‘Sirkus’, kasama rin ako sa ‘Sunday PinaSaya’ every weekend.”
Because of his busy sked, he had to forego his college studies for a while. “Siempre, priority ko muna ang trabaho ko. I tape for ‘Sherlock Jr.’ tuwing Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Kung Tuesday, I tape for ‘Sirkus’. Saturdays and Sundays naman are reserved for rehearsals namin sa ‘Sunday PinaSaya’ and the actual show the next day.”
It sounds like a very tiring schedule. “It surely is, but I’m not complaining kasi gustong-gusto ko naman ang mga ginagawa ko. Magrereklamo lang siguro kung hindi na ako enjoy sa work ko. Eventually, babalik din ako sa college and I want to take up film directing as I also like to try working behind the camera.”
His brother Kobe was home for the holidays but is now back in his studies in California where he’s also pursuing a career in basketball. “He enjoyed his vacation here, but he’s now back in the U.S. as he really wants to pursue having a career in the NBA there.”
