Cristine Reyes Moves On After Tiff With Vivian Velez, Has A New Horror Movie, 'Elemento'

CRISTINE REYES, who turned 27 on February 5, seems to be now at home playing mother roles. She plays a mom to a little boy in her current soap, “Tubig at Langis”, and she also has a son in her new movie, “Elemento”. “Okay lang naman kasi in real life, mother na talaga ako to a beautiful baby girl,” she says.

She’s excited with “Elemento” as it’s a horror movie. “Matagal na rin kasi akong hindi nakagawa ng horror,” she adds. “My last one was ‘Tumbok’, which was five years ago pa. At maganda kasi ang story ng ‘Elemento’. Ang anak ko rito, si Lucas, played by child actor Albert Silos, went on a field trip to the forest. Nag-jingle siya sa gubat without saying tabi-tabi po. Hindi niya alam, may elementals na nakatingin sa kanya and one of them assumed his appearance at siyang sumama sa field trip pabalik sa siyudad. Ito ang umuwi sa bahay namin at wala akong inkling na hindi na pala ito ang anak ko kundi isang elemento. Siempre, I will try my best to get back my son at ang magiging kalaban ko, yung elemento na kinuha ang anyo ng anak ko. Maraming eksenang nakakatakot kaya if you enjoy having a good scare, don’t miss ‘Elemento’.”

Also in the movie are Elizabeth Oropesa as Cristine’s mom who warns her: “Hindi mo anak yan. Elemento yan. Kinuha lang niya ang anyo ng anak mo.” Supporting them are Jake Cuenca, Cholo Barretto, Jenny Quizon, Rolando Inocencio, Joshua Stangeland, Mitzy Omega and Lolita Gervacio. This is opening in theaters on Wednesday, April 6. About her recent encounter with Vivian Velez on the set of “Tubig at Langis”, Cristine says she was traumatized by the experience but she is moving on.

“Let’s just forget about it na lang,” she says. “I just feel blessed that I’m surrounded by people who support. This business can be sometimes cruel but I’m blessed with people who really care for me.”
Would she be willing to work with Vivian again in the future? “Tubig at langis kami. Iwas na lang siguro.”
