Dennis Trillo On Relationship With Jennylyn Mercado: 'Basta Masaya Kami At Pribado Yun Para Sa Amin'

DENNIS TRILLO remains very evasive when it comes to the real score between him and Jennylyn Mercado. They posted their pictures together when they travelled to Amsterdam, but still, he won’t officially admit that they’ve reconciled.

“Basta masaya lang kami pareho sa buhay namin,” he says at the presscon of his new movie with Solenn Heussaff, “Lakbay2Love”. “Masaya rin kami pareho sa careers namin. Madalas kaming nagkakasama in working out sa gym. Importante kasi sa amin yung health namin, e, dahil pareho kaming nagma-mature na. Basta masaya kami sa kung anumang meron kami ngayon at pribado yun para sa amin.”

Didn’t he get jealous with the love scenes Jennylyn did with Jericho Rosales in her award-winning movie, “Walang Forever”? “Sorry pero hindi ko pa napanood, e. Hindi kami sanay na pinapanood yung sarili naming movies.”

He’s happy with his role in “Lakbay2Love” as a forester working in La Mesa Ecopark to protect the environment. “It’s nice to be part of a movie that shows to the viewers how we can protect Mother Nature. Alam naman natin ang ill effects of climate change so we should all cooperate to counter this. But it’s not just a message movie. May maganda rin itong love story about a broken hearted girl, si Solenn Heussaff, who finds new romance when she met while we were into biking. Makikita rin dito ang magagandang mountain scenery sa Rizal and Benguet where we shot the film on location.”

The movie opens in theaters on February 3, with a green carpet premiere night at UP Quezon Hall Amphitheatre on January 29. 5 PM, where Dennis, Solenn, and other guest stars will offer musical numbers. Tickets are at P220, and only P200 for UP students. You’ll have the chance to win the bikes used by Dennis and Solenn in the movie.
