Camille Prats On Playing Mom To Teenage Actress Bianca Umali In 'Wish I May'

DIDN’T Camille Prats have any hesitation accepting the role of Bianca Umali’s mom in “Wish I May”? “No, kasi maganda yung role and it was explained to me na sa amin ni Mark Anthony Fernandez magi-start ang story, tapos paghihiwalayin kami ng father ko, si Juan Rodrigo,” she says. “Magiging anak ko si Bianca sa pagkadalaga. I’ve played a mom before, pero sa child stars like in ‘Munting Heredera’. First time ko to play mom to a teenager. Okay lang naman kasi I have to evolve sa roles na ginagampanan ko. I was born 1985 at 2000 naman si Bianca, so 15 years older ako sa kanya. Sa story, student ako nang mabuntis ni Mark, so puede ko na talaga siya maging anak. But noong first taping day namin, nanibago rin ako kasi nakita ko si Bianca as a child star, pero ngayon, magkasintaas na kami.”

So how is it working with Bianca? “Magaling siya, sila ng ka-love team niyang si Miguel Tanfelix. Parehong hard working and eager to learn. I’m sure magre-rate ang ‘Wish I May that starts airing on Monday.”
It’s common knowledge she’s now officially engaged to her U.S.-based boyfriend, JV Yambao. Is it true they’re intending to walk down the aisle this year? “No, next year pa. Gusto muna naming paghandaan nang husto. But I'm glad na ngayon pa lang, magkasundong-magkasundo na si JV at ang anak kong si Nathan.”
