“Ay, hindi ko po alam,” she says. “Last year, hindi talaga ako nage-expect so it came as a big surprise. This year, wala rin akong expectations but kung ibibigay ba, e di maraming salamat. Pero magkaiba yung dalawang movies, e, kahit pareho sila ng director, si Direk Dan Villegas. ‘English Only’ is more of comedy. Ito namang ‘Walang Forever’, more of drama about relationships.”
She plays Pia Nolasco, a well known scriptwriter of rom-coms, just like scriptwriter of “Walang Forever”, Antoinette Jadaone. (So could it be that this autobiograpical on the Jadaone’s part?) She falls in love with Jericho as Ethan, but later decides to break up with him. Why? “Kasi sarili lang niya ang iniisip niya. But after some years, babalik siya uli and will court me again at makukuha na naman niya ang pag-ibig ko, then every thing that happened in the past will happen all over again. Masasaktan na naman ako. Kaya nga sa trailer, may line na, kapag paulit-ulit ang sakit, maniniwala ka pa ba sa forever?”
Supporting them in the movie are Lorna Tolentino as Jen’s ‘kunsintidora’ mom who supports Jericho’s comeback bid in Jen’s life; Nico Antonio, Jerald Napoles and Kim Molina as Jen’s friends, and Pepe Herrera as Jericho’s friend. The movie is partly shot in Taipei, Taiwan as Jericho decides to leave Manila and work there.
About her lovelife, Jen continues to deny that she and Dennis Trillo have kissed and made up but they were just seen traveling together in Amsterdam. “That’s true, pero hindi kaming dalawa lang yun. We’re a group of friends. Kasama namin yung mga regular na non-showbiz kabarkada namin sa sports namin, like biking and trekking. Actually, nauna kaming magpunta roon at sumunod lang si Dennis. Hindi rin ako nagtagal kasi I have to come back right away as I’m a judge sa Startruck 6 tapos we have to fly to Taiwan pa to shoot the ending of ‘Walang Forever’ kaya madalian lang yung biyahe ko.”
