Megan Young As Marimar Goes To France To Study And Returns Six Years Later As The Classy Bella Aldama

MEGAN YOUNG says she’s aware some folks say that her younger sister Lauren seems to come out as the better actress when they have scenes together in “Marimar”. “I don’t mind and it’s no big deal kasi mahal ko ang kapatid ko,” she says. “Siguro hindi maiiwasan ang pagkukumpara. Pero sa mga nang-iintriga na nasasapawan niya ako sa confrontation scenes namin, gusto ko lang sabihin na magkaiba kasi ang roles namin. Mas malakas kailangan ang dating niya kasi kontrabida siya, e. Ako yung inaapi, so medyo controlado ako sa acting ko. But wait ngayong si Marimar will have a transformation na at magiging si Bella Aldama na. Mas magiging palaban na siya at matindi na rin ang dating niya in seeking revenge on those who maltreated her before, lalo na kay Lauren as Antonia, kay Jaclyn Jose as Angelica Santibanez and also kay Tom Rodriguez as Sergio.”

How does she feel about her transition from the meek Marimar to the feisty Bella Aldama? “Siempre, medyo kabado ako kasi at home na ako sa character ko as Marimar na simple lang, patient, tahimik. Si Bella, tuturuan siya ng mentors niya to be sophisticated and classy, so ibang side naman ang makikita sa akin ng viewers dito. I should thank Solenn Heussaff who plays Capucinna Blanchett kasi malaki ang naitulong niya sa transformation ni Marimar. Pati yung sosyal way of walking and talking and dealing with people, itinuro niya sa akin.”

Megan as Marimar is forever alienated to her mom Alice Dixson as Mia due to the machinations of Ina Raymundo as Brenda and Carmi Martin as Esperanza. Marimar gets to study in France because Zoren Legaspi as Gustavo has already acknowledged her as his long lost daughter. She gives birth to a baby girl who she calls Cruzita. Tom as Sergio becomes torn between Lauren as Antonia and LJ Reyes as Inocencia. Six years quickly pass and Megan returns to the country no longer the old Marimar but the very confident and highly educated Bella Aldama.
