"I really have so much to be thankful for," she says. "Kasi ang daming blessings na dumarating sa akin. Bukod sa TV and movie projects, may album pa ako and maraming endorsements. I cannot complain."
The daughter of "Miss Saigon" alumna Jenine Desiderio and rock star Juan Miguel Salvador, it's common knowledge that she has not seen her father for six years. Last August, they got to see each other again and it's Janella who took the initiative to see her dad.
"I learned he performs in Strumms in Makati every Thursday so I asked my mom na panoorin namin siya," she says. "Nagtago lang kami to watch him. Everyone tells me ang galing-galing niya mag-perform but I've never seen him. So finally, napanood ko na siya and I was overwhelmed kasi magaling nga pala talaga siya. After his show, I went to him and saw him. We talked, hindi ako makahinga, I cried a lot and became emotional. But not in front of him. I have no grudges naman sa kanya. He said bakit hindi ako nagte-text sa kanya, kasi he gave me his number before. Hindi ako makasalita. We just hugged. So ayun, naayos naman. I will invite him sa 18th birthday ko and bahala na siya kung gusto niyang magpunta."
In "Haunted Mansion", she is one of the students who attend in a retreat house that turns out to be haunted. She later gets possessed by an evil spirit. "It's really scary kaya don't miss it kung gusto ninyo to have a good scare. Kasama ko rito sina Iza Calzado, Janice de Belen, LJ Reyes, Jerome Ponce and Marlo Mortel at kahit kami mismo, natakot sa mga eksenang ginawa namin dahil ang husay-husay ni Direk Jun Lana in cooking up with scenes na nenerbiyusin ka talaga."
